DIAPER PROGRAM
Adelante Comunidad Conejo partners with Food Share of Ventura County and Conejo Community Outreach:
Food Share participates in the California State Diaper Program which provides funding to purchase diapers and wipes for diaper aged children in Ventura County. Each month, we distribute diapers to families during our Community Free Marketplace at Conejo. Click on this Marketplace link for dates and location of the food distribution.
Each diaper aged child will receive three packs of diapers with wipes one time per month through the Food Share State Diaper Bank Program. Diaper Program participants can receive diapers from ONLY one Ventura County food distribution organization per month. The computer check-in system will not allow a second distribution during that month.
How to get diapers from the Food Share program through Adelante Comunidad Conejo:
We distribute diapers during our Community Free Marketplace at Conejo. The diaper table is under the covered lunch shelter near the dairy trailer.
What information is required to get Food Share diapers?
The child must live in Ventura County to receive diapers. You will be asked for the name, address, and date-of-birth of each child and the name and date of birth of the primary caregiver and any other people authorized to pick up diapers. Children 5 years old and younger are eligible for diapers. We can extend the age range for an older child who needs diapers because of a disability. Adult diapers are not available through this program.
Diapers are supplied in a range of sizes, from newborn to size 8. Inventory is limited. We do our best to provide diapers in the sizes families need but there are times when diapers in some sizes are not available.
How to get diapers from Conejo Community Outreach through Adelante Comunidad Conejo
The diapers we receive from CCO are not restricted to one Ventura County Food Share pantry per month. We use CCO diapers to fill gaps in our State Diaper Bank inventory and to offer additional diapers when possible.
