In mid-December 2025, we relocated to the Park Oaks facility where we have the capacity to receive, glean, sort, and store substantial amounts of recovered food.
In mid-March 2025, an MOU was approved by the Thousand Oaks City Council awarding funds granted to the City by CalRecycle for the expansion of food recovery in compliance with SB 1383.
How can the grant funds be used?
The grant, in the amount of $325,000, must be used to expand food recovery in the City of Thousand Oaks and stipulates that the expansion in capacity will include shared-use support vehicles and safe food storage for eligible Thousand Oaks Food Recovery Organizations (FRO).
